I saw this photograph of dancing people in historical costumes. Added the skull's faces because it reminded me of a passage in the book 'The vampire Lestat'.

The musician Camille Saint Saens had composed a "danse macabre" (sorry for my bad english) and in past, there was a dance named "danse macabre".
